Code of Practice

Code of Practice

CnG Employment upholds the following Code of Ethics:

  • Confidentiality

We are committed to maintaining the highest level of integrity in all our dealings with potential, current and past clients, both in terms of normal commercial confidentiality, and the protection of all personal information received in the course of providing the business services concerned.

We extend the same standards to all stakeholders, employees and associates.

  • Ethics

We conduct all of our activities professionally and with integrity, and expect our clients, suppliers and stakeholders to do the same.

We take great care to be completely objective in our business activities to ensure that issues are never influenced by anything other than the best and proper interests of our clients, trainees and stakeholders.

  • Equality and discrimination

We always strive to be fair and objective in our advice and actions, and we are never influenced in our decisions, actions or recommendations by issues of gender, race, creed, colour, age or personal disability.

  • Quality assurance

We maintain the quality of what we do through regular ongoing review with our stakeholders and industry networks and embracing a continuous improvement approach.

  • Duty of care

We commit to ensuring that our actions and advice will always conform to relevant laws and regulations.

We commit to ensuring that both our host employers and our trainees/apprentices are appropriately assessed and inducted, with ongoing monitoring and access to support.

  • Conflict of interest

We endeavour to ensure all workers carry out their duties ethically, responsibly and without improper influences, thereby protecting the integrity of the business.

Likewise, all business interactions are conducted in the same manner, ensuring that no inducements or other real, potential or perceived conflicts of interest occur.

Any gifts or benefits offered to or received by a CnG employee must be reported to the GM.

Subject to the GM’s approval, such gift or benefit may be approved, however, any gift or benefit valued over $100 must be disclosed on the Gift and Benefits Register.

All employees are required to actively consider whether any real, potential or perceived conflict of interest occurs in the course of employment and business interactions.

This includes inconsistencies between an employee's duties and their own personal interests, including family, financial, business or social interests.

All conflicts of interest are required to be reported to the GM, whether observed or directly involved.

If there is any unsurety about whether there is or could be a conflict of interest, it is the employee’s responsibility to speak to the GM.

  • Intellectual property and moral rights

CnG Employment retains the moral rights in and ownership of all intellectual property created during one’s employment with CnG

Employment, unless otherwise agreed in advance. Likewise, we respect the moral and intellectual copyright vested in our clients' intellectual property.

  • Work Health & Safety

CnG Employment is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, visitors and anyone else who may be affected by the Company’s operations. It aims to be proactive in preventing workplace incidents and ensure all work activities are done safely.

Management and employees have a responsibility to themselves and each other to ensure, where it is reasonably practicable, that both the place of work and the Company’s work practices are safe. As such, the Company encourages and seeks to facilitate open communication between management and employees to ensure work health and safety.

All accidents, injuries and ‘near misses’, whether occurring at work or whilst travelling to and from work, should be reported immediately to the GM (or if that person is not available, to another person with management responsibilities).
